Houses in my neighborhood get sold immediately and torn down


Housing development is mid 50s or so during the cold war buildup. We rebuilt our house on the existing shell (added a kitchen/bath on the first floor, master bedroom/master bath/walk in closet/expanded hallway bath upstairs plus new windows, insulation, and siding), and houses that have done that sell and remain intact. Anything that does not have a kitchen or bathrooms that have been modernized are torn down and monster houses with the largest footprint that the county will approve go up in their place.
